Still Here

I know it's been a while since our last update. I'm so very sorry, but things have been a bit hectic. We got back to south Texas after Thanksgiving, only to find out that we would be leaving for Oklahoma in 3 days. We had so much to do and so little time to accomplish it. The trip was a two day adventure. When we got into the truck that morning it was 85 degrees. When we got to the stopping point for the night it was 25 degrees. Jacee was not impressed. Upon arriving at our destination, I realized that we had no Internet or t.v. and could sometimes, if you hold your tongue just right, get a radio station.

A few days after arriving in Oklahoma, we got our first snow storm. I now truly understand how cold a travel trailer can be. We never started the co-sleeping with Jacee because I want her to feel she has her own space and I hope more confidence in being by herself. I broke my own rule a couple of times last week. It was so cold in the trailer that I was afraid her heater would not keep up. Mommy, Daddy, and Jacee don't fit very easily in a full size bed. At least there was no lack of body heat to keep our little angel warm.

Jacee and Mommy came back a little early to help Santa get ready for Christmas and we couldn't have left at a better time. Shawn informed me that it has been in the teens and 20's for two days, and it had just started to snow again tonight. We miss him very much and hope he is staying nice and warm tonight without us.
I am including some pictures of Miss Jacee. She got a new tummy time mat that doubles as a shopping cart cover. She had so much fun that she needed a little nap. The other picture is of Jacee and Daddy on our first outing in Oklahoma. I think she was wondering why Mommy was putting so many clothes on her. She's used to short sleeved onsies and a pair of shorts.
Well I guess I'll end this now. We will see you all soon. Hope you all have a wonderful week. Stay warm ;-)

Thankgiving with Kaden

Here are some pictures of our Thanksgiving festivities. We got to spend the entire day with Kaden, which was a treat for all of us. Jacee loves her Bubba so much and can't take her eyes off of him when he holds her.

We had a blast at Papa and Nana's house Thursday night. Can you see the Family resemblance?!?! You'd never guess they were all related. LOL. And guess what. I'm actually in some of the pictures. Amazing when that happens.

Hope you all have a great week. Talk to you all soon.

It's FIXED

I know you t's been a while since I've posted and I'm so sorry. My laptop was on the blitz and with the holidays, there was not much time to fix it. I don't have any pictures today, but I do have some news. We are no longer going to bask in the warmth of the tropical weather of South Padre. Oh no we are going to be anything but warm. Shawn found out last week that we are to go to Oklahoma. Dosen't that sound fun?!?!? I guess we better get ready, we leave Wednesday. Jacee, Daddy, and I have been in shopping mode trying to get Jacee's wardrobe ready. Just last week I was buying shorts for her tropical, 85 degree winter. That has now changed. Well, dinner is almost ready so I guess I'll end this now. Hope you all have a wonderfull week and we will talk to all soon.

Jacee Says....

.... I like cookies!!! At her appointment yesterday, we discussed adding new foods to her diet. One of these new foods was finger foods. I bought her Biter Biscuits, a hard cookie that helps her teeth. I think she liked them. You be the judge. We also get to start out with a sippy cup. Jacee isn't too sure what to do with it, but banging it on her highchair seems to work pretty well. We have been staying with Jacee's Gramma and Grampa these past couple of nights and I'm not sure if they are going to let her leave. Gramma is enjoying feeding her bottles and putting her to bed. Grampa is enjoying his Jacee time too. He got to go to the doctor with us yesterday, which was a huge help to Mommy. Jacee was not near as bored with Grampa to talk to as she usually is with just Mommy.

Jacee also got to go to lunch with her Gramma and Grampa yesterday. She got to sit in the highchair at the restaurant fir the first time ever, and she really seemed to enjoy it. I guess it's more fun when you can look around instead of just up at the ceiling.

We went to see her Papa and Nana last night. Jacee has missed them so much while we have been gone. She played and played with her Papa, then when Nana got home she decided to be "dancin' baby". I think this may be her favorite thing to do in Nana's lap. As soon as Jacee sees her Nana she starts swaying back and forth. It's one of the cutest things I've seen her do lately.

Well, I guess I will end this now. Jacee is waking up and ready to go pick Levi up from the vet. I hope you enjoy all the pictures.

One last picture of Gramma feeding Jacee. Hope you all enjoy. Have an awesome week. Talk to you all soon.

A Little Update

Just thought I'd give everyone a little update on Miss Jacee. She had her 6 month checkup today. She is now 18 pounds 13 ounces and 26 inches TALL. She is in the 90th percentile in height and 75th percentile in height and head size. I know you are all looking for a picture, however I am not at my house and don't have any today. Please forgive me.

Well, seeing as how its already late and I have an early appointment for Levi tomorrow, I will end this now. Hope you all have an awesome week. We will be here till after Thanksgiving so we will try to male the rounds this time. I promise to post more pictures soon.

Talk to you all later ;-)

Oops......

Here is the video I tried to upload earlier today. As I'm sure you have already figured out, it didn't work. Please be patient with me, I'm still learning how some of this stuff works. Hope you enjoy it. Please let me know if it works properly. I'm hoping that this will help bring you all a little closer to Miss Jacee when we are away.

Love you guys ;-)

Six months old.....

and guess what?!? I have a tooth!!!
First off, today is Jacee's 6 month birthday. I can't believe how quick the time has gone. We are so blessed to have a healthy, beautiful daughter like Jacee. Shawn and I have recently found her little tooth. It took Shawn a little bit longer to see it than me because he couldn't feel it with his finger. Mommy, on the other hand gets her fingers chewed on quite often during play time with Jacee. Her favorite game is try to get Mommy's hand in her mouth, along with everything else that she can.
She has also learned to sit up rather well on her own. I still like to stay close, because her booty can be kinda roly-poly still, but for the most part she is up to the challenge. I am still amazed every day with how quickly she is learning and changing.
Jacee has a very distinct personality. It is becoming more unique every day. She has the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. I see more and more of Shawn in her every day. I can even see a little Mommy in her every once in a while.
Jacee is so inquisitive. She wants to know what it is, how it works, and how far she can throw it. I love to sit and watch her explore her toys. Looking, chewing and talking to each one before throwing it and moving on to the next. She is also very ready to eat real food. I know this because she stares us down with every bite we take. Shawn is ready for her to eat pizza and burgers, and her Grampa is dying to feed her my favorite, biscuits and gravy. I keep telling her when she gets her teeth in she can have whatever she wants. She looks at me now as if to say, "I have a tooth, Where's my pizza?!?!"
Well, enough rambling from me. I will end this now and we will see you all soon. Jacee and I will be in town on Sunday evening.
Hope you enjoyed the video and the pictures of Jacee on her 6 month birthday.

Hugs and Kisses
XOXOXO

Our New Spot

We are finally getting somewhat settled at the new park. I have promised many of you pictures of the new spot and here they are. As many of you know, Shawn is happiest with a pole in his hand. The new park is perfect for him. This is what we see when we walk out our door. Shawn can finally get the fishing he has been craving while still spending time with us. I can't tell you how happy he has been this week. We are all loving it.

Jacee has even decided to get in the spirit of the outdoors. She and her Daddy gave me some Leslie time last night. As much as I love being a full time, stay at home Mommy, every now and then I need a break. After taking some time for a long shower without crying in the background, I came outside to find Jacee and Daddy fishing and watching nature. It was the most awesome sight to see the two of them spending this time together. Shawn would point out the ducks flying over, and Jacee would watch them and scream with delight.
Jacee watched the fish jump, the trees blowing in the wind, and just truly enjoyed her Daddy time. I never could have imagined how happy such a small moment could feel so huge and
important. As you can probably imagine, all the new experiences and excitement left our little girl a bit tired. It didn't take long for Jacee to drift off to sleepy town, leaving just enough time for Shawn and I to get ready for our next adventure. Dinner at Pirate's Landing. I will never get used to the idea of eating dinner on a dock overlooking the bay. It always puts a smile on my face when the hostess asks "inside or outside". I think Shawn now just expects the answer "outside please". Jacee enjoys it too. She gets to feel the wind in her hair and watch the waves come in. It is a beautiful scene. Once again, I forgot the camera.
Maybe one of these days I will learn to think ahead so you can all see the sights that we are so blessed to see on a daily basis. The next adventure that my loving husband has promised us is a dolphin watching excursion that is offered in Port Isabel. I can't wait!!! I will try to take the camera for that trip.
Well, Jacee has woken up from her nap so I will end this for now. I hope to see you all soon. Have a safe and good week.
We love and miss you all;-)

Jacee Says.....

we are finally settled in one place for a whole month. It's nice to know that until this job is done we will be right here in Port Isabel.

Jacee got to watch the sea cats attack shrimp tails at dinner tonight. I don't think she was near as excited as her daddy was. We both enjoyed watching the frenzy of hundreds of fish attacking on small peice of food. I wish I had taken the camera. It would have been some awesome pictures. Oh well, maybe next time.

We are enjoying being on "Island Time" Everything is so laid back here. The breeze never stops, and it was in the low 80's today. I'm told the coldest it ever gets down here is about 65. I won't complain about that, but I will miss the snow.

O.k., seeing as how its getting kinda late I will put these pictures for you to see.

Jacee is now enjoying bath time very much.
This is her hairdo afterwards.

Jacee has a new favorite snack...

Not even a sour face...

Daddy's so proud!!!

One more of the stylish do...
Hope you all have a great week.
We miss you all very much.
Talk to you soon;-)

Our Crazy Week

First off, I want to apologize for the long absence of Jacee pics. I did not intend to wait so long, but my internet only works in south Texas. That being said, we have had a long crazy week. I had a couple of firsts this week. While in the middle of trying to do some much needed work at our house in Abilene, Shawn received a call that he needed to be in a class in Marshall on Wednesday. We recieved this info at about 10:00 Tuesday morning. Since Marsall is about 5 hours away, and the class was at 7:00 am, we decided to let Jacee stay with grandparents and we left about 2:00 tuesday afternoon. When we arrived at the hotel, we checked in and decided to go to dinner. We found a nice little pizza place and had a very nice, "adult dinner". When we got to the car to start it, we realized that the day was not going to end well. The Jeep wouldn't start and Shawn had to mess with the battery cables to make it turn over. This being a not to new thing, we knew what to do. We also realized at this point that we had a screw in the tire. (This was after already replacing one tire before leaving Kingsville Friday)

Since the tire seemed to be the most pressing issue, we decided that while Shawn was in class, I would find a tire place and have it fixed. After trying, once again to start the Jeep, and once again being denied, I waited for Shawn to take lunch. To make a long story somewhat short, I replaced a battery, and fixed a tire while waiting for my husbands class to end.

Here is the high point of my week, other than Halloween with Jacee.

Marshall is 30 minutes from Shreveport, La.

Leslie has now officially been to a real live casino.

How sad is that?!? 28 and played my first slot machine ever?!?!?

Now all I need to learn is to STOP WHEN YOU ARE AHEAD

O.k., enough about my week. I know you really came to hear about Jacee and see more pics of my little angel.
Jacee went trick-or-treating for the very first time with Mommy, Daddy, Gramma, and Grampa on Friday, She got lots of candy that, unfortunatly, she could not have. Daddy and Grampa helped to take care of most of it, with a little help from Mommy and Gramma. (Don't tell the Weight Watchers people)

Here are some pics of Jacee's Halloween fun.

Hope you all enjoyed the pics and thank you for letting me vent!!!!!
We miss you all very much and hope to see you soon.
Have a good weekend!!!!!

All About Kaden

First, let me say I'm sorry it has been so long since my last post. We had a longer than expected weekend and I have no internet in Abilene right now. We started our trip out Friday, one day later than expected. After taking Jacee to Papa and Nana's house Saturday, Shawn and I headed to Burleson for a day with Kaden. For those of you that don't know him, Kaden is my stepson. He is 8 years old and a spittin' image of his Daddy. Looks, attitude, stubborness, well you get the picture. We got to watch Kaden play football and they won their 1st game of the year!!! We were all very excited and so very proud of Kaden. He is an awesome football player!!! After the game, Shawn and I decided to take Kaden to Bass Pro Shops. As you can probably guess, This was as much if not more exciting for Shawn than Kaden, but they both had a blast! After about 2 hours of all the Bass Pro we could handle, we had to end the day and take Kaden home. We both miss him very much and can't wait tosee him again. Well, here are some pictures of Kaden nd his Daddy. Hope you enjoy.

Here are the rest of the poses from Jacee's photoshoot. Sorry it took so long to get them posted. Thing have been crazy around here.

We found out that Shawn is being sent to South Padre Island on Monday. This means that I have to Make everything travel ready again. I never realized how much stuff we have in the little r.v. until I started trying to pack it all away in little cubbys to keep it safe from falling or breaking. I hope to have everything ready by the time Shawn gets home tonight. That way, all we have to do tomarrow is pack the Jeep for our trip to Abilene. Hopefully we will have a very uneventful trip this time. I would love to make it one full weekend without any major bumps in the road. Well, since we have been so busy these past few days, I haven't taken too many new pictures of Miss Jacee. I will get more out to you all as soon as possible. Until then I hope the extra poses at the top of this post will do. Jacee is waking up and ready to play, so I will end this now. Hope to see you all soon. We will be there Friday and can hopefully see many of you.
Have a good rest of the week.
Happy Halloween.

Jacee's 1st Ponytail

Hi Everyone. Just thought I'd share some cute pictures with you this morning. Shawn had to work today, so Jacee and I were looking for something to keep us occupied. I bought these ponytail holders a few weeks ago hoping that it wouldn't be long before she had enough hair. Much to my surprise, she has just barely enough to get it in a pony. I thought it was kinda cute, so I set her in the chair to get her picture, and guess what?!? She sat up all by herself, without the chair for balance. How cool is that?!? She was so cute that I let her sit there for a while. When I got her down, she threw a fit. I guess she likes being a big girl. She has been sitting up with Mommy ever since. Anyway, here are some pics of the ponytail and sitting up. Hope you enjoy!!!

We also had some tummy time on Mommy and Daddys bed yesterday. Jacee had so much fun. She wore herself out playing and decided to take a little rest. Look how blue her eyes look in these pictures. She was so cute I couldn't resist taking a few shots.

Hope you all have a wonderful week.
Talk to you soon.

Picture Day

Jacee had an eventfull day today. We decided to go take pictures today and since it is so close to Halloween, we decided to do different outfits. We took some poses in her costume and some poses in her pretty new shirt. Jacee was all smiles today for the photographer. That made it so much easier for Mommy, since I was the only one there. I thought I would post few of my favorite poses. There are many more than this, so leave me comment if you want to see any more or if you want a copy of the copyright to print the pictures out. Well here goes. Hope you all find them as precious as I did.

This is my favorite of all the poses.
She looks so grown up.

Hope you all have a wonderfull weekend. We will see some of you next weekend. I wish we could see you all. We will make rounds to as many as possible Halloween night. Talk to you soon.

Jacee's New Hat

I came to a realization yesterday. Mommy and Jacee should not be allowed to go to the store with money and no Daddy. I can't seem to come home without buying Jacee at least one thing every time. Usually, it is some little toy, I think she can't live without, or a new onsie that was "too cute to pass up". Yesterday, it was a little pink camo hat. I knew as I was putting it in the basket, that Jacee could in fact live without it. When I put it on Jacee's little head she got the bigest smile on her face as if to say, "Daddy will love this on me". Knowing that Shawn would, in fact, find it as adorable as I had, we bought it. I can only imagine the fear that runs through Shawns body when he walks through the door and I say, "babe you've got to see what I found for Jacee today!" It usually means he is going to have to put something together or find room in the r.v. for some toy that we don't need and Jacee is too young to want or even play with. This time he was happy with my find. Jacee looked so cute in her little hat. To make a long story worth it, Here is what you all came to this site to see. Pictures of Jacee in her new hat..........

Are those not the cutest ever?!?!?! The hat reads, "Little Deer". How cute is that?!?! I really think that Daddy was happy about this little find. Hopefully I will still be allowed to take Jacee shopping after Shawn reads this post. If not I guess all the little finds will have to come from Daddy's little trips. We love you all and will talk to you soon. Have a good rest of the week.
